Chris says: "My Karting all started back in February 2000, when I started racing with varied success. I started off with indoor karting, going once or twice a week, joining an amateur league, and racing against Friends. I did quite well winning a good number of races. Following this I competed with the Halliburton Racing team in the World Corporate Games where we came 3rd. It was at this point, I released I should take the karting experience further, and after some visits to my local Circuit, I decided to start racing in Senior TKM. I phoned Graham Orchard at ARC, and bought myself a ARC K2000E TKM. My first season was a hard one, with an underpowered engine, I struggled to find the pace, however in the Wet of July 2001, on my Novice plates & from the very back of the grid I had my first win in the Final. Due to other financial commitments I had to sit 2002 out, and wait for 2003. With a much more powerful engine, I had two more wins in 2003, before moving classes to Senior Rotax. Rotax is a very different class, and it took time to learn the kart. The Trips to Crail & Rowrah helped, however I felt there was more pace to come. 2004, was a year where I underachieved! A DNF whist 6th at the beginning of the year wasn't good, a faulty fuel pump and different engine set-up ruined one of the weekends down at Wigan, in-fact the highlight must have been the A-Final at the Gold Cup. At the final test of the year, a change of seat and set-up helped improve lap times. That last test at the end of 2004, was encouraging, and new parts were added to the Kart for 2005. A disappointing early season was forgotten when good results came at PF and Wigan, but a bruised back later in the year finished the season early for me. I've had a good rest, a new engine for 2006 and now hopefully on the right track for good results. Time will tell ;)
